David Lanser
Attorney Dave Lanser specializes in civil litigation in the areas of police misconduct, prisoner rights, employment discrimination, and other civil rights issues.
He earned a law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School, is licensed in both Louisiana and Wisconsin, and has practiced before the United States Supreme Court, multiple state supreme courts, federal and state courts of appeal, and at the federal and state trial court level in several states.
Prior to joining Most & Associates, Mr. Lanser worked for the Louisiana Civil Justice Center, a statewide legal non-profit where he assisted and represented clients in a wide variety of legal matters including custody issues, divorce, protective orders, and successions. He also managed a legal assistance hotline providing legal support to people in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands affected by Hurricanes Irma and Maria.
In law school, Mr. Lanser was selected to clerk for the then-Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, Judge William M. Conley, and was selected to be a member of the Environmental Protection Agency’s Honors Clerkship Program. He spent a year in the highly competitive Neighborhood Law Clinic where he gained experience representing individuals in evictions, workplace discrimination claims, and tried a case in the Sauk County Circuit Court while in his second year of law school. He was also the Senior Note & Comment Editor for the Wisconsin Journal of Law, Gender & Society where he was published and awarded the Katherine Held Memorial Award for service to the journal.
Mr. Lanser has been selected to the Louisiana Rising Stars lists published by Thomson Reuters from 2020 through 2025.
